Daily Schedule

Time Activity Description
7:30 Flag Raising At Camp Jackson, we take patriotism seriously.  Every cabin will take a turn being the "MC" of our ceremony.  Every camper participates.
7:45 Cabin Devotions A time to gather as a group to share a "thought for the day" or discuss the daily values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility
8:00 Breakfast Every meal is served fresh, nutritious, and "kid friendly".   In addition to out hot breakfast our optional breakfast of cold cereal and toast is available every morning.
8:30 Details Cabins draw a detail from a hat.  Details are dishes, bathroom detail, Jackson Lodge detail, or trash-pickup.  Every camper is responsible for their living environment and keeping it clean.
9:00 Specialty Areas Every camper will spend 90 minutes each day in their specialty area. 
10:30 Choice Time Each day, individuals get to choose from the traditional activities of archery, riflery, nature, crafts, sports, or drama
12:00 Lunch Lunch consists of many kids favorites including hot dogs, grilled cheese, sloppy joes etc. There is always a salad and peanut butter and jelly sandwich option.
12:30 FOB Feet-On-Bunk, Flat-On-Back...REST TIME!  Every camper will spend this time in their cabin resting, reading, writing letters, being QUIET!
1:30 Store The Camp Jackson Canteen provides snacks, drinks, T-Shirts, and other novelties for sale.  Snacks are $.50, drinks are $.75, and novelties range from $2.50 - $10.00
2:00 1st Cabin Time Cabins will spend time together participating in assigned activities of horseback ride, group hike or canoeing.  If an activity is not assigned, cabins can come up with their own ideas and vote for the day.
3:30 2nd Cabin Time  
5:30 Dinner Dinners are always hot and healthy. Every meal is different, but all are kids favorites.
6:30 Evening Program Always an "all play" game, evening program is a hit with everyone.  Typical games are capture the flag, counselor hunt, and grinches and elves.
8:00 Campfire Campfire is a time to sing, perform skits, and share with each other.   Every campfire ends with a "WOW", or Words of Wisdom, delivered by the senior staff.
9:00 Vespers / Reflections A great time to break down the evenings WOW to an age-appropriate level, talk about fears or expectations, and set goals for tomorrow!
10:00 Lights Out Time to re-charge the batteries for another busy day!
